Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Tiku Weds Sheru set for OTT release in june

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to be a part of another comedy film and this time opposite actress Avneet Kaur. After the release of his romantic comedy Jogira Sara Ra Ra, he will next be seen in Tiku Weds Sheru.

However, the film will not be released in theaters and will instead be streamed on Prime Video starting June 23. Produced by actress Kangana Ranaut under Manikarnika Films, the film is written and directed by Sai Kabir.

It is said that the Queen actress wanted to sign actor Irrfan Khan, but after his death, she decided to cast Siddiqui as the male lead and Kaur was finalized as the female lead.

After the cast of the film was out, netizens started saying that the pairing looks inappropriate as Siddiqui looks much older than Kaur. Ranaut noted that she ignored the 27-year age gap between the performers as the duo seemed well-suited for the plot. Kaur added that she did not find the age difference a problem as it was needed for the film.

The shooting of the film was completed last year, but the release of the film was delayed.
